Coachella Valley is a very interesting place to visit. The valley can be very hot in the summer with temperatures reaching as high as 110 or more but in the winter it,s warm temperatures make it an idea destination for RV,s.
This valley encompasses the communities of Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Indio, and Coachella. Some of the more interesting places would be the Palm Springs Air Museum and the Aerial tramway up to the top of Mt. Jacinto where one can enjoy a leisurely dinner with a gorgeous view of the valley. The Air Museum’s planes are in flyable condition and periodically there are demonstrations of these flying beauties. The San Andreas Fault is nearby and is the longest active fault in California. Would you like to see what the Sex Life of a Date is like you can view a short story at the Shields Date Farm and sip a delicious date shake while sampling a variety of dates. The Coachella Valley produces about 80 percent of the world’s dates shipped world wide.
The lower desert hosts the Palm Springs annual film festival and the second largest tennis tournament in the world.
The lower desert has an abundance of golf courses which are watered by a huge aquifer fed by water from the Colorado River.
There are numerous RV parks and resorts located in the Valley.
